Repeal of the Boil Water Advisory - Jeter Street & Surrounding Area

Effective: December 17, 2025
The Edgefield County Water & Sewer Authority advises their customers located on Jeter
St., Railroad St., Woodland Ave., Glover St., Burt St., Olive St., Highland Ave., Gray St.,
Walker Rd., Maple Ave., Buckeye St., Dogwood Ln., Persimmon St., Catalpa St.,
Sourwood Dr., Silverbell St., and Promised Land Rd., that they no longer need to boil
their water prior to drinking or cooking.
Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were
collected and analyzed by the Authority. The results of this sampling indicated that the
system is safe to use for drinking and cooking.
